A bit about me o/
More than a developer, I’m curious by default. I’m passionate about technology, new releases, and team leadership. My drive is building solutions that create a real impact on both the product and the people using it.
Outside the office, you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen or spending some time at the gym. It’s my way to reset. I love working with music. If you want to hear what’s on my setup, you can play the track linked below. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, going for walks, and making the most of my weekends to disconnect.
Where logic was put to the test
My foundation comes from competitive programming. I competed in the ICPC for 4 consecutive years. The first two years were rough. Very rough. We didn't qualify and we learned to deal with frustration the hard way ¯\(ツ)/¯
But persistence pays off. In the last two years, we qualified for the South American Regional Finals, representing Tarija as the best team in the city in La Paz and Cochabamba. That stage was key to understanding that before leading, you have to know how to fail and get back up. Throughout my career, I’ve always focused on leadership and project management.
Building and scaling products
My career balances Full Stack development and management. While my strength is Frontend, I equally enjoy leading technical execution and product strategy. I’ve gone from Universidad Católica Boliviana and social impact projects to my role as CTO at Favorcito.
At Favorcito, we hit major milestones. We scaled to over 50k users, expanded to Peru, and led a strategic pivot from B2B to B2C. The most valuable part for me was leading a team of 10 devs, ensuring quality and execution pace in a high-growth environment ^^
Sharing as a core value
For me, communities are the soul of tech. I’ve been part of Google, Angular, and Notion groups, but my favorite role has been as an Organizer at GDG Tarija. I’ve had the chance to give talks and workshops across several cities in Bolivia, sharing what I know.
I believe that if you don’t share what you learn, there’s no feedback loop for society. I love learning from everyone and giving back what the ecosystem has given me. At the end of the day, knowledge only matters if it helps others grow \o/
